Hippy Advice #1

This I say Verily unto you young hippies... Never ever get a job working for the Man. In the end it will just be a waste of your life with nothing to show for it. Even if ya can't think of someway to be in business for yourself, which is the way to be, then find someone cool to work for and do whatcha gotsta do ta survive. Oh yeah, and never cut ya hair either! Let's seize the time, let's make the system pay for it's crime. We surround them! There is no reason to slave ya life away in debt, that is no way to be a FREE MAN, an AMERICAN!

Amen on that.

For years I lived two lives. Part as a hippy. But half working for corporations. I heard once that there's an old Russia saying that no one is as uncomfortable as the man who tries to sit on two chairs. So very true.

And, what did I get for it? When I started to get older and the economy turned down, the corporate types booted me out the door anyways. Thanks for your years of service, security will escort you to your cubicle where you'll be allowed to fill this box with some personal knickknacks before our shoe hits your rear and we kick you out the door.

So, now I'm doing what I should have been doing 20 years ago, which is trying to figure out how to live without working for the man.

If anyone's got any ideas for a smart old hippy who used to be an engineer and high-tech manager, let me know. :)

But, that's just me looking for a job, which has become normal for me. What's really important is that you heed this good advice and don't do like I have done and worked in the house of the rising son. :)

Peace to any who find this. :)
